Responsive web design is an approach to web design aimed at building sites to provide an optimal viewing and interaction experience across all devices (from desktop computer monitors to mobile phones). In simple terms, a responsive site re-sizes itself to fit any device to ensure that it not only looks great, but also works well on all devices.

With mobile device usage still on the rise, all of the sites we build are responsive as we believe it is the best way to ensure a site is mobile friendly and that the end user has a pleasant experience whilst using the site. From an SEO point of view, Google Recommends responsive design as best practice, and from April 21 they updated their algorithm to start penalising sites that aren’t mobile friendly. This means that if you want to be up their in the search rankings, your site must display and function well on all devices.
