With 2015 drawing to a close and 2016 fast approaching, we’ve scoured the internet to find some of the biggest predictions and forecasts for the digital world in the New Year.
Keep on reading to find out what we, and leading industry experts, think will take 2016 by storm.

Facebook Messenger for Businesses

Back in March 2015 Facebook unveiled Messenger for Businesses, enabling companies to have B2B and B2C conversations with clients and customers; a great feature for a number of reasons.

Firstly it allows for personalised customer service interactions meaning that businesses can respond more quickly than ever before, on a more personal level than ever before – this is good for helping build relations.

Secondly it opens up new marketing possibilities. If you have a flash sale for example you could message customers to let them know about the limited time only discount, encouraging them to go to your site to shop. Push notifications could also be sent updating people on a range of things such as delivery statuses and dispatch info.

Facebook will continue to invest in the development of this in 2016 so it’s definitely one to look out for!

Videos to dominate

Ever scroll through Twitter, Facebook and Instagram and stop to watch a video? Noticed that these became a lot more prevalent during 2015? Well more and more companies are turning to video marketing to showcase their products and services and we expect this to take off even more in 2016.

Not only do videos add a bit of colour and life to your website, social media or timeline but they can help humanise a business too which can really build brand loyalty and trust.

If video marketing isn’t on your agenda for 2016 you’re missing a trick!

Continued rise of the mobile

2015 saw the mobile market expand further still and following Google’s announcement that mobile has surpassed desktop, it will remain at the forefront of any technological advancements next year.

All good websites have to be optimised for mobile nowadays and with more people than ever owning smartphones it’s not a trend that is going to be reversed any time soon.

Positive, forward-thinking mobile strategies will be necessary for any marketer in 2016 cialis en ligne pas cher.

Illustration on the up

We think that 2016 will see more websites and brands trying to interact with users in a more personal and connected way than ever before which paves the way for more illustrations complimenting photography.

Illustrations allow more creativity and it bucks the trend from the standard images that you see around websites these days and they can also help create a niche for your brand while building relationships with customers at the same time.

Markets are so saturated throughout digital markets that standing out from the crowd is more important than ever, making the use of bespoke, thought-provoking illustrations a vital tool to implement in your plans for 2016!

Colour and typography to get bolder

Everyone knows that the use of colour and typography as marketing tools are very important, allowing a brand to reinforce their values and convey important messages.

But down the years there have been certain limitations to what’s technically possible; however we feel this is likely to change in 2016.

Expect new, creative typographical designs with lots and lots of bold, brash colours!

Obviously it remains to be seen just how big an impact these five developments have on the digital landscape in the New Year but hopefully they’ve given you a taster of what to expect when 2016 rolls around.

From all at Websites 24-7 have a very Merry Christmas and a happy, prosperous New Year!
